With over 32 years working in Alaskan aviation, Ben Stedman is Copperstate Turbine Engine Company’s (CTEC) director of operations, Anchorage.
Prior to joining CTEC, Ben spent many years troubleshooting and repairing electronic communications systems in remote Alaska. His interest transferred to aviation, first working on engines and electrical systems. Ben earned his A&P and expanded his work to the entire plane, specializing in repairing aircraft in the bush and getting planes back into operation during Alaska’s short and busy summer season.
Over the years, Ben has worked as an independent contractor for a variety of air taxis in Alaska, including Rusts Flying Service, Alaska Air Transit, Alpine Air, Katmai Air, Trail Ridge, Jim Air, and Alaska Air Taxi. He has also rebuilt two classic Widgeons.
Ben has an A&P license, a degree in Electronics Technology and holds a private pilot certificate. He currently flies a Piper Super Cub and anything else he can get his hands on.
Ben’s Customer Service Philosophy:
I understand that your business depends on your planes flying. I will work through the night to ensure that your plane is ready to fly on your schedule.
