Terry Cooley brings over 27 years of aviation experience to his role as Sales & Service Manager, Copperstate Turbine Engine Company (CTEC).
Terry started his career cleaning parts on the graveyard shift for Garrett General Aviation’s Repair and Overhaul (R&O) facility in Phoenix. Within a year, he was disassembling the ATF3 turbofan engine, advancing to the TFE731 turbofan, and then the TPE331 turboprop engine. Two years later, Terry moved to the R&O tool crib, purchasing the needed supplies and equipment for the engine shop. Terry’s career accelerated once he moved to the TPE331 engine assembly line. After a few years on the assembly line, he was able to take his FAA power plant test and received his current license.
In the late 90s, Terry was offered the line supervisor position at Dallas Airmotive in Dallas, Texas. After running the TPE331 and JT-15D line for four years, he was offered a department manager position at Alliance Engines in Maryville, Tennessee, where he worked until 2002.
Coming full circle, Terry returned to Honeywell’s Phoenix R & O as the TPE331 program manager. In 2005, Terry was hired as CTEC’s sales and service manager.
Terry’s Customer Service Philosophy:
Customer Service is everything, period. You have to have exceptional communication, do what you say you’re going to do, and put yourself in your customer’s shoes. I’m the customer’s eyes and ears when their engines are in the shop here at CTEC.
